Samsung Galaxy A22 4G launched in India for Rs. 18499

Samsung officially launches Galaxy A22 4G smartphone in India. The handset was first introduced last month.

The Samsung Galaxy A22 offers dual 4G VoLTE via its Dual Nano SIM slots. It has Android 11 OS pre-installed, overlapped with OneUI 3.1.

The device itself measures 159.3 x 73.6 x 8.4 mm and weighs 186 grams. At the front is a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display boasting 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy A22 4G specs include octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor with ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB eMMC 5 .1 storage space. The mobile houses a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expansion up to 256GB.

Cellphone also houses a 13MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side are quad-cameras with LED Flash. These include 48MP (main, F/1.8, OIS) + 8MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 2MP (depth, F/2.4) + 2MP shooter with LED Flash.

The Samsung Galaxy A22 4G packs in 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. It is said to offer up to 38 hours of 4G LTE talk time or up to 24 / 25 hours of LTE / Wi-Fi internet or up to 29 hours of video playback or up to 97 hours of audio.

It has fingerprint sensor, Accelerometer, Gyro, Geomagnetic sensor, Virtual light and proximity sensors. For connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Galaxy A22 4G is priced in India at Rs. 18,499 and comes in Black and Mint colors. It is already up for sale at company’s e-store.
