Samsung along Galaxy A52 4G/5G smartphones has also announced its new Galaxy A72 handset. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The mobile is powered by Android 11 with Samsung’s One UI 3.1 on top. It has IP67 rating for water resistance. The device itself measures 165 x77.4 x 8.4 mm and weighs about 203 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy A72 feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display offering 2400 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 800nits of brightness.
Powering inside is octa-core Snapdragon 720G mobile platform with Adreno 618 GPU. It has options of 6GB RAM with 128GB of built-in storage space and 8GB RAM with 256GB of on-board ROM. It has MicroSD card support up to 1TB.
The Galaxy A72 specs include 32MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture. At the back side are quad-cameras with include 64MP (main, F/1.8, OIS) + 12MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 8MP (telephoto, 3X zoom, 30X Space zoom, F/2.4, OIS) + 5MP (macro, F/2.4) shooters and LED flash.
The cellphone sports hybrid dual Nano SIM slots. It has 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It has stereo speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, MST and 3.5mm Audio jack.
The Samsung Galaxy A72 comes in Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Blue and Awesome Violet colors. The Galaxy A72 6GB/128GB model is priced at 449 Euros ($534 / Rs. 38,820 approx.) while its 8GB/256GB variant costs 509 Euros ($606 / Rs. 44,000 approx.)
UPDATE 19/03/2021: Samsung has officially launched Galaxy A72 smartphone in India. Its 8GB/128GB model is priced at Rs. 27,999 while its 8GB/256GB variant has price-tag of Rs. 37,999.
Some of the launch offers include Rs. 3000 discount on HDFC bank credit / debit cards and EMI transactions, Rs. 1500 off on EMI transactions done through Zest Money. There other no-cost EMI offers / zero down payment / processing charges across major banks and NBFC partners.
