Samsung expands its ‘Galaxy A Series’ lineup with the launch of two new Android Smartphones. They are called as Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018).
Both of them sports IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. They run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and comes with fingerprint sensor at the back for added security. Both models have MicroSD card slot supporting up to 256GB cards.
Both of these mobiles are the first smartphones in A Series lineup to support Samsung’s Gear VR. Additionally they also support Samsung Pay, Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC).
Both of these mobile phones get processing power from an octa-core (2.2GHz dual + 1.6GHz hexa) Exynos 7885 14nm processor with Mali-G71 GPU. The Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) are the first Samsung phones to feature dual selfie cameras. They are equipped with 16MP (F/1.9 Aperture) + 8MP (F/1.9 Aperture) front cameras with Live Focus, Stickers, Filters and Beauty mode. At the back side is 16MP primary camera with LED Flash and PDAF support.
The Samsung Galaxy A8(2018) and Galaxy A8+(2018) will be available in early January 2018. They are priced at €499 (US$ 588 / Rs. 37,750 approx.) and €599 (US$ 706 / Rs. 45,320 approx.) respectively in Europe. They come in Orchid Grey, Black, Gold and Blue colors.
