Samsung Galaxy A80 with SD730G, rotating camera launched in India

Samsung expands its ‘Galaxy A Series’ lineup in India with the launch of a high-end smartphone called Galaxy A80. It comes with and In-display fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung One UI.

Main feature which fetches attention is its rotating cameras. It has 48MP (F/2.0) + 8MP (123° ultra-wide-angle, F/2.2) + 3D Depth sensing camera (for live focus) and a LED Flash. The shooters a re placed inside a rotating pop-up module (activated by Selfie mode) so they are also used as front cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 features in 3D Glass body and a metal frame. The Angle Gold color variant includes element of pink while the Ghost White variant has a pinch of blue.

Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy A80 flaunts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio. At its core is an octa-core Snapdragon 730G mobile platform with Adreno 618 GPU.

The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space (non expandable). It includes a 3700 mAh battery and supports 25W super-fast charging. There is Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio. The device has measurements of 165.2 x 76.5 x 9.3 mm.

Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS etc.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 price in India is Rs. 47,990 and comes in Angel Gold, Ghost White and Phantom Black color. The smartphone will go on pre-order from July 22 and will be there till July 31st (Those who pre-order will get 1-time screen-replacement). It will start selling from August 1st via e-commerce platforms, e-Shops, Samsung Opera House and Samsung Opera House.
