Samsung Galaxy A8s (SM-G8870) specs revealed via Certification

Samsung has been working on a new ‘Galaxy A Series’ smartphone for a while now. Today, a handset bearing model number SM-G8870 has been certified by TENAA. The device is believed to be called as Galaxy A8s.
The listing has revealed all the specifications of Galaxy A8s (SM-G8870). For starters, the device has dimensions of 158.4 x 74.9 x 7.4 mm and weighs 173 grams. It has metallic design and a rear facing fingerprint sensor.
It has 6.39-inch multi-touch display with 2340 x 1080 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Galaxy A8s could be Samsung’s first (If not then one of the first) smartphone to feature an in-display hole (top left corner) for 24MP selfie camera. At the back side is 24MP + 5MP + 10MP triple camera (rumored F/1.7 + F/2.2 + F/2.4 apertures) setup with LED Flash.
According to TENAA, the A8s will be powered by an octa-core (2.208GH x 4 + 1. 708GHz x 4) processor which is probably Snapdragon 710 SoC. It will come in options of 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM along with 128GB of internal storage space.
The mobile runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It has 3300 mAh battery and should support fast charging. Not to mention presence of proximity sensor, gravity sensor and ambient light sensor. Connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0 and GPS will be supported as well.
The Samsung Galaxy A8s (SM-G8870) is expected to go official soon.
