Samsung Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy Book Go 5G announced

Samsung has announced its latest Windows 10 laptop called Galaxy Book Go and Galaxy book Go 5G. These are basically same with notable difference being their chipset and 4G / 5G connectivity.

Starting with dimensions, they measure 323.9 x 224.8 x 14.9 mm and weigh about 1.38 Kg. These offer a 14-inch TFT display boasting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution at 16:9 aspect ratio.

The Galaxy Book Go series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 compute platform along with Adreno 618 GPU and optional LTE connectivity. The Galaxy Book Go 5G powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform delivers lightning-fast 5G connectivity speeds.

Depending on model, these are offered in options of 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64Gb / 128GB eUFS storage space. There is MicroSD card support for further expansion. These have 720p HD camera and includes 3.5mm headphone / microphone jack.

The Galaxy Book Go series come with 1.5W x 2 dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology for immersive sound experience. These have optional 5G / 4G LTE (nano SIM) and has support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz) 2×2 MIMO, USB type-C (x2), USB 2.0 and Bluetooth V5.1.

They are powered by 42.3Wh (typical) battery acpacity and comes with 25W USB Type-C fast charger. The Vanilla Galaxy Book Go is said to offer up to 18 hours of battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go 5G will be available in fall of 2021. The Samsung Galaxy Book Go Wi-Fi model price starts at $349 (Rs. 25,480 approx.) and comes in Silver colors. It will go on sale in US from June 10th. [source]
