Samsung Galaxy C8 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, dual cameras now official in China

Samsung has just announced its latest smartphone under its ‘C Series’ called Galaxy C8 (SM-C7100). It has 5.5-inch Super AMOLED multi-touch always-on display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The cell phone measures 152.4 x 74.7 x 7.9 mm and weighs 180 grams. It has fingerprint sensor embedded on home button. It has facial recognition feature as well for added security.
The Samsung Galaxy C8 specs include an octa-core (2.39GHz x 4 + 1.69GHz x 4) Helio P20 processor with 3GB / 4GB RAM (depending on storage). It has 32GB / 64GB internal storage variants and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
Samsung Galaxy C8 image -1The phone houses hybrid dual SIM slots, of which second slot converts for MicroSD Card. It supports 4G VoLTE (Bands 1/3/5/7/8/34/38/39/40/41).
The handset is powered by 3000 mAh battery and is said to offer maximum of 329 hours of standby (with interest screen reminder off).
The Galaxy C8 features dual rear cameras. First one is of 13MP with F/1.7 Aperture, while second one is of 5MP with F/1.9 Aperture. They support PDAF, 1080p video recording and comes with LED Flash. On the font side is 16MP shooter for selfies. It has F/1.9 Aperture.
Connectivity wise, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS/GLONASS, MicroUSB V2.0, Bluetooth V4.2 etc. There are various sensors as well like Accelerationg sensor, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, RGB Light and Proximity sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy C8 comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Black color options. Price and availability details were not revealed.
