Samsung has officially launched Galaxy F42 5G smartphone in India. It is a rebranded version of Galaxy Wide 5.

The handset measures 167.2 x 76.4 x 9.0 mm and weighs 203 grams. It has fingerprint print sensor at side. The mobile houses dual nano SIM slot and supports 5G (N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N20, N28,N38, N40, N41, N78, N79) and Dual 4G VoLTE.
The Galaxy F42 5G specs include 6.6-inch Infinity-V display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. Apparently, mobile runs on Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 on top.
Under the hood is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It has 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM options and houses 128GB built-in storage space. The cellphone supports MicroSD card up to 1TB.
The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G feature an 8MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side is a triple camera setup and LED flash. These include 64MP (main, F/1.8), 5MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2) and 2MP (depth, F/2.4) cameras.
The mobile phone packs a 5000mAh battery inside with 15W fast charging support. It has support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.
Price and Availability
The Galaxy F42 5G 6GB/128GB version is priced at Rs. 20,999. Its 8GB/128GB model costs Rs. 22,999. It will go on sale at Flipkart from October 2nd under its Big Billion Days sale.
