Samsung has confirmed that Galaxy Fold, its new foldable smartphone is launching starting this September. The handset was first unveiled back in February but found to have slightly flawed design.

Samsung said that it has fixed all the issues. Korean phone maker took time to fully evaluate the product design, make necessary improvements and run rigorous tests to validate the changes.

The all new Galaxy Fold now comes with an extended top protective layer of the Infinity Flex display. The layer is extended beyond bezel, making it apparent that it is an integral part of the display structure and not meant to be removed.

Additional reinforcements have been placed to better protect the device from external particles while maintaining its signature foldable experience.

The Galaxy Fold’s top and bottom part of hinge area have been strengthened with newly added protection caps. The Metal layer beneath the infinity flex display have been included to reinforce protection. Additionally, the space between the hinge and body of Galaxy Fold has been reduce.
