Samsung Galaxy M42 5G with SD750G SoC launched in India

Samsung’s new Galaxy M Series range of smartphone in India gets a new member called as Galaxy M42 5G. As the name suggests, it is a 5G mobile phone equipped with Dual Nano SIM slots.

The Galaxy M42 5G is powered by Android 11 OS with One UI 3.1 on top. It has in-display fingerprint sensor and supports Samsung Pay. The device itself has dimension of 164.4 x 75.9 x 8.6 mm and has weight of 190 grams.

The phone sports a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with HD+ resolution and sports multi-touch support. At its heart is an eight-core Snapdragon 750G mobile platform with Adreno 619 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G specs include 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage space and supports further expansion up to 1TB using MicroSD card. The cellphone houses 5000mAh battery with 15W adaptive fast charging support.

In terms of cameras, Samsung has include 48MP (main, ISOCELL GM2 sensor, F/1.8) + 8MP (Ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 5MP (depth, F/2.4) + 5MP (macro, F/2.4) cameras at the back with LED Flash. At the front side is 20MP selfie camera with F/2.2 Aperture.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G colour options are Prism Dot Black and Prism Dot Grey shades. It will go on sale at Amazon.in and Samsung.com from May 1st. The 6GB/128GB model is priced at Rs. 21,999 (Rs. 19,999 introductory) while its 8GB/128GB variant costs Rs. 23,999 (Rs. 21,999 introductory).
