Samsung Galaxy M53 5G with 108MP quad-camera setup announced

Samsung has officially announced its new Galaxy M Series smartphone called Galaxy M53 5G. It comes in Blue and Green color options. Pricing and availability details were not revealed.

It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 5G SA/NSA and Dual 4G VoLTE. It has side mounted fingerprint sensor and brings support for Samsung Pay. The device itself measures 164.7 x 77.0 x 7.4 mm and weighs 176 grams.

The Galaxy M53 5G has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display that gives 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen has 120Hz refresh rate and sports Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top.

Pumping inside is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and houses 128GB built-in storage space. It does allow further expansion up to 1TB using MicroSD card.

The smartphone runs on Android 12 based Samsung One UI 4.1. It has a 5000mAh battery inside and supports 25W fast charging. For optics, there is a 32MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture. At the back side is a combo of 108MP (main, F/1.8), 8MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2), 2MP (depth, F/2.4) and 2MP (macro, F/2.4) lenses.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo, NFC and USB Type-C audio. The M53 5G has Dolby Atmos as well.
