Samsung has just announced its latest Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra smartphone. They come in both 4G and 5G models and sports an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. These handsets also comes with IP68 water resistant rating.
They have S-Pen stylus which has 0.7mm pen tip and 4096 pressure levels. The SPen is also IP68 rated for water resistance. Samsung has reduced its latency to 26ms for more fluid and natural writing experience. It has Gesture control and comes with built-in remote control. The air gesture actions are customizable to actions like Back, Home, Smart Select, Recent App, Screen Write etc.
The Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Note20 Ultra has Wireless Samsung DeX support. It also allows users to sync their handset with Windows 10 PC to easily share messages, photos, notifications, calendar reminders in almost real-time scenario. This is done using Microsoft’s Your Phone app and Link to Windows integration.
Th Galaxy Note20 comes with 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O HDR10+ display which offers 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and 393ppi pixel density. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top for added durability. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra on the other hand packs in 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLE Infinity-O HDR10+ display with 3088 x 1440 pixels resolution, 496ppi pixel density, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1500nits brightness and houses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Depending on the market, the Galaxy Note20 / Note20 Ultra comes with octa-core Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform with Adreno 650 GPU and Snapdragon X55 5G modem OR octa-core Exynos 990 EUV SoC with ARM Mali-G77 MP11 GPU and Exynos Modem 5123. The LTE model is offered with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB / 512GB (only in Ultra) UFS 3.1 storage space. The 5G variant of Galaxy Note20 comes with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G model houses 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and comes with 128GB / 256GB / 512GB UFS 3.1 ROM. It has MicroSD card support up to 1TB.
The Galaxy Note20 measures 161.6 x 75.2 x 8.3 mm and weighs 192 grams (LTE/Sub6) or 194 Grams (mmWave). It has Dual Nano SIM Slots with 5G / Dual 4G VoLTE support. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra has dimensions of 164.8 x 77.2 x 8.1 mm and weighs 208 grams. These are powered by Android 10 OS with One UI on top. It has stereo speakers tuned by AKG and has Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio experience.
The Samsung Galaxy Note20 features in 10MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture. At the back side is 12MP (main, F/1.8, OIS, PDAF) + 64MP (telephoto, F/2.0, OIS, PDAF, 3X Hybrid Optic Zoom, 30X super resolution zoom) + 12MP (120-degree ultra-wide-angle, F/2.2) triple cameras with LED Flash.
The Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra specs include 10MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture. At the rear side, you get 108MP (main, F/1.8, Laser AF, PDAF, OIS) + 12MP (Periscope, F/3.0, OIS, PDAF, 5X optical zoom, 50X Super Resolution zoom) + 12MP (120-degree ultra-wide angle, F/2.2) triple shooters.
The Galaxy Note20 packs in 4300mAh (typical) battery capacity and supports 25W fast charging. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra features in 4500mAh (typical) battery with 45W fast charging support. Both of them support Wireless Charging, both WPC and PMA and Wireless Power sharing. In terms of connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), HE80, MIMO, 1024-QAM, Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C (Gen3.2), GPS/GLONASS, MST and NFC.
The Galaxy Note20 4G 8GB/256GB price is £849 (Rs. 83,520 approx.) / €949 (Rs. 84,500 approx.) while the Galaxy Note20 5G 8GB/128GB costs $999.99 (Rs. 74,790 approx.). The Galaxy Note20 5G 8GB/256GB model costs £949 (Rs. 93,350 approx.) / €1049 (Rs. 93,410 approx.). The smartphone comes in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Green and Mystic Gray colors. It will go on sale in select markets from August 21 with its pre-orders starting today itself.
The Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G 12GB/256GB model price is $1,299.99 (Rs. 97,230 approx.) / € 1,299 (Rs. 1,15,660 approx.) / £1,179 (Rs. 1,16,015 approx.). Its 5G 12GB/512GB variant costs $1,449.99 (Rs. 1,08,450 approx.) / € 1,399 (Rs. 1,24,450 approx.) / £1,279 (Rs. 1,25,860 approx.). It comes in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black and Mystic White colors. It is up for pre-order and will go on sale from August 21st.
