Samsung Galaxy S21 5G and Galaxy S21+ 5G announced

Samsung has officially introduced its latest Galaxy S21 5G and Galaxy S21+ 5G smartphones. These share several similarities with noticeable difference in their display sizes and battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G features in 6.2-inch Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ 20:9 resolution. It delivers up to 1300nits peak brightness and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It has Eye Comfort Shield and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top.

The Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G specs include a larger 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display with same FHD+ resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio. It has 394pp pixel density, Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, Eye Comfort Shield, HDR10+ support and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Depending on the market, both of these cell phones come with either octa-core Snapdragon 888 SoC or octa-core Samsung Exynos 2100 chipset. They have 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB storage variants.

The Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ both come pre-installed with Android 11. They have Single / Dual SIM options and house ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor. Face recognition is also supported using 10MP dual-pixel selfie camera.

Both Galaxy S21/S21+ pack in triple rear cameras. They include 12MP (ultra-wide) + 12MP (wide-angle) + 64MP (telephoto, 30x space zoom) lens. These handsets also feature IP68 water resistant rating.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G houses a 4000mAh battery while the Galaxy S21+ 5G packs in a larger 4800mAh battery capacity. They support 25W fast charging and 15W Qi Wireless charging.
