Samsung Galaxy S8 Active available in USA for $849.99

Samsung has finally unveiled its latest Active Series rugged smartphone in United States called Galaxy S8 Active. It maintains some similarity with Galaxy S8 but is even more sturdy and durable.
The phone has measurements of 5.98 x 2.95 x 0.39 mm and weighs about 7.34 ounces. It is a also claimed to be toughest Galaxy Smartphone yet as it is shatterproof, water and dust resistant.
It has metal design and is built using military-grade materials. Like most Active Series phones, there is bumper frame on the back which absorbs shocks.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active specs include 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection as well.
It is powered by an octa-core (2.35GHz x 4 + 1.9GHz x 4) Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform SoC with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
The cell phone run on Samsung’s own version of Android 7.1 Nougat OS. It includes Google Assistant and Bixby AI support as well.
The Galaxy S8 Active features in 8MP selfie camera with F/1.7 Aperture and Auto Focus capabilities. On the back side is a 12MP shooter with LED Flash, Auto Focus, OIS, 8X digital Zoom and 4K video recording support.
The mobile is fueled by 4000 mAh non-removable battery. It offers up to 32 hours of talk time, up to 5 days of standby and about 113 hours of audio playback on speaker. Fast Charging and wireless charging is also supported.
Connectivity wise, it has Nano SIM slots and supports 4G LTE (Bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/20/28/29/30/38/39/40/41/66). Other options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/i/r, Dual Band (2.4GHz/5GHz), Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.1, GPS etc.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is available at AT&T for $849.99. You can also get it for $28.34 / month on 30-month installment agreement. The device comes in Tungsten Gold and Meteor Gray colors.
