Samsung Galaxy S8 could come with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM module by SK Hynix

Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone, the Galaxy S8 could feature an 8GB RAM module.
South Korea’s second largest chip maker SK Hynix has unveiled new DRAM chip, which will be seen in Galaxy S8 smartphone.
There were rumors in the past, which hinted 8GB RAM and now, latest reports have strengthen the claim.
The SK Hynix 8GB RAM module is based on LPDDR4X Technology (Low Power Double Data Rate 4X). It measures about 12 x 12.7 x 1 mm. It is said to deliver 20% better performance and requires 30% lesser space than its predecessor (LPDDR4).
The LPDDR4X can process at speeds of 34.1GB data per second and houses 64-bit input-output ports as well.
Alleged Samsung Galaxy S8 Photo -1Apart from Samsung Galaxy S8, the LPDDR4X is also expected to feature in Apple iPhone 8. Both of these devices are expected to be announced sometime in April and September 2017.
