Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ specs surfaces

Specifications of Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have surfaced. Both of them seems to have similar specs.
Both of these handsets should have IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. They run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box and comes in Dual SIM variants. Other things common among them is Heart rate sensor, Fingerprint sensor, Iris scanner and Barometer.
If these spec sheets are indeed true, the Galaxy S8 will have 5.8-inch full rectangle (5.6-inch with rounded corners) curved Super AMOLED pressure sensitive display with 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD+ resolution. The Galaxy S8+ on the other had is expected with a larger 6.2-inch curved Super AMOLED pressure sensitive display with 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD+ resolution.
The S8 and S8+ will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Octa-core Samsung Eynos 9 Series 8895 processor, depending on the market. They come with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage ROM and and allows further expansion using MicroSD card.
Samsung-Galaxy-S8-specs-leak-img-1Camera in both the smartphones are speculated to be same. The leaked spec sheet suggests 8MP front facing selfie camera with F/1.7 aperture and 12MP dual pixel rear cameras with F/1.7 Aperture, LED Flash and 4K video recording support.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected with 3000 mAh battery wile the larger Galaxy S8+ will house a 3500mAH battery. They also support fast charging both on Wireless and Wired charging.
Connectivity options will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2 LE, GPS+ GLONASS, NFC, USB 2.0 etc. They also come with earphones by AKG.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones will be unveiled on March 29th at an event held in New York. Both phones will be released globally on April 21, 2017. Rumor has it that Galaxy S8 could retail for €799 (US$ 850) while the Galaxy S8+ is expected to carry price-tag of €899 (US$ 956).
