Samsung Galaxy S8 will have AI Digital assistant service

Just recently Samsung acquired Viv Labs Inc, a San Jose-based firm behind Apple Siri voice assistant program. Now, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has confirmed that it will include AI digital assistant service in its upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone.
The exploding Galaxy Note7 smartphones has put a dent into Samsung’s earning, a hit estimated at $5.4 billion over three quarters through the first quarter of of 2017.
To fix this carnage, Samsung is betting high on Galaxy S8 smartphone, which will not only have premium specifications and features but will include Vive’s Artificial Intelligent Digital Assistant service.
It will expand its Voice Assistant service services to home appliances and wearable technology devices as well, allowing its customers to use third party services seamless.
The AI digital Assistant service will allow developers to attach and upload services. More services that gets attached, smarter the AI agent will get. It will learn new services and provide them to the end users.
We have already seen AI in Apple products in the from of Siri, Cortana in case of Microsoft and Alexa, developed by Amazon. Samsung plans to make more acquisitions to enhance its AI offering in future.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to go official earlier next year in February 26th. Samsung did not reveal much about the type of services that its AI digital assistant service will offer in S8.
