Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 rugged tablet announced

Samsung has announced its latest rugged tablet called Galaxy Tab Active2. It has IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and also comes with MIL-STD-810 certification.
The tablet measures 214.7 x 127.6 x 9.9 mm and weighs 415 grams (Wi-Fi) / 419 grams (4G LTE). It has bio-metric authentication like Fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 specs include 8-inch TFT display with 1280 x 800 pixels WXGA resolution. It has 1.8GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor with Mali-T830 GPU.
It has 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage space and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card. This rugged tablet also comes with S Pen which is IP68 certified. It has 4096 Pressure level and AIr command features.
There is a 5MP front facing camera coupled with 8MP Primary snapper at the back with LED Flash and Auto Focus. Both the 4G and Wi-Fi variants are powered by 4450 user replaceable battery.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, USB Type-C 2.0, NFC, GPS/GLONASS etc.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes in Black color. It will go on sale in select markets from October 2017. Pricing details were not revealed.
