Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 rugged tablet launched in India

Samsung has launched its latest Galaxy Tab Active 2 rugged tablet in India. It comes with facial recognition and includes a new fingerprint scanner as well for enhanced security.
This rugged tablet is MIL-STD 810G certified and can withstand extreme temperatures, excessive pressure, environments, vibrations and drops. Additionally, it is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. The tablet has 1.2mm anti-shock shock protective cover for added durability.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 specs include 8-inch WXGA display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. It offers better display touch and supports glove and wet touches. The tablet also comes with S Pen  which has 4096 pressure sensitivity level and supports air command. The S Pen is IP68 rated as well.
Under the hood is 1.8GHz octa-core Snmsung Exynos 7870 processor with Mali-T830 GPU. It has 3GB RAM, 16GB ROM and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and includes defense grade Knox security platform for keeping sensitive data.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 in india 1The tablet has dimensions of 214.7 x 127.6 x 9.9 mm and has weight of 419 grams. It has 4450 mAh user-replaceable battery  inside. The Galaxy Tab Active2 features in 5MP front camera and 8MP auto focus shooter at the back with LED Flash.
This rugged tab comes in 4G LTE and Wi-Fi only options and supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C 2.0 and NFC.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 price is Rs. 50,990 (US$ 715 approx.) and comes in Black color. It will go on sale in India in March 2019.
