Samsung has announced its latest flagship tablet called Galaxy Tab S6. The tablet is successor to last years Galaxy Tab S4 and packs in some premium specifications.
The tablet has dimensions of 244.5 x 159.5 x 5.7 mm and has weight of 420 grams. It comes with option 4G LTE variant and is powered by Android 9.0 Pie with One UI 1.5 on top.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 features metal body design and houses enhanced S Pen stylus with Bluetooth support. The S Pen has 0.35mAh built-in battery and supports wireless charging. Company claims that it offers 10 hours of battery life with just 10 minutes of charging. Moreover, it has built-in BLE remote control which allows one to not only take Selfies and videos but also control multimedia content.
The Tablet packs in 10.5-inch Super AMOLED multi-touch display with 2560 x 1600 pixels WQXGA resolution. It has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for fast unlocking.
Coming to the internals, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with Adreno 640 GPU at its core. The Galaxy Tab S6 comes in options of 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB of internal memory. It does allow further expansion up to 1TB using MicroSD card.
A 7040 mAh battery powers the hardware, and to top it off, fast charging is also supported. There are four speakers which are tuned by AKG and supports Dolby Atmos as well.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 specs include 8MP front camera coupled with 13MP and 5MP (123-degree wide angle lens) dual camera setup at the back. There are array of sensors inside, include Accelerometer, Gyro, Geomagnetic sensor, Hall and RGB Light sensor.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo and POGO pin.
Samsung has also introduced new and improved Samsung DeX for those longing for PC like experience. It includes new dedicated Book Cover keyboard (better features and new function keys), S Pen Holder, Touch Pad, Free Angle stand etc.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi model price is 699 Euros (US$ 772 / Rs. 53,465 approx.) while the 8GB/256GB Wi-Fi variant costs 779 Euros (US$ 860 / Rs. 59,560 approx.).
The Galaxy Tab S6 LTE 6GB/128GB version carries price-tag of 779 Euros (US$ 860 / Rs. 59,560 approx.) while the premium 8GB/256GB LTE model price goes upwards at 859 Euros (US$ 949 / Rs. 65,700 approx.).
The Tablet comes inMountain Gray, Rose Blush and Cloud Blue colors. It will be available from late August in select markets.
UPDATE (10/Oct/2019): Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab S6 in India. It is priced at Rs. 59,900. For looking to buy optional Keyboard, it costs Rs. 5499 in India. Samsung has bundled 6-months free YouTube Premium. The Tablet will be available in India from October 11th at Flipkart, Amazon and Samsung Store.
