Samsung Electronics has officially launched its new Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch in India. It comes with 5ATM and IP68 water / dust resistant rating and is durable enough to comply with MIL-STD-810G standards.
The Galaxy Watch Active from Samsung runs on Tizen-based Wearable OS 4.0. It has dimensions of 39.5 x 39.5 x 10.5 mm and has weight of 25 grams.
The smartwatch comes with Heart Rate Monitor for tracking heartbeats. It can also monitor blood pressure, thus keeping stress level in check. For this, users can directly download My BP Lab on Galaxy Watch Active.
Other specs include 1.1-inch AMOLED color display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and offers 360 x 360 pixels resolution. It has 1.15GHz Exynos 9110 Dual-Core processor with 768MB RAM and 4GB ROM.
There is a 230 mAh battery which supports WPC-based wireless charging. Not to mention in activity tracking feature can track both indoor and out door activities (tracks more than 39 activities).
Other sensors include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and Ambient Light sensor. The smartwatch is compatible with devices running on Android 5.0 or above (with more than 1.5GB RAM) or iPhone 5 with IOS 9.0 or above.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active price in India is Rs. 19,990 and comes in Black, Silver, Sea Green and Rose Gold colors. It will be available from Samsung e-Shop, Samsung Opera House and retail stores starting June 2th (today). You can also buy Galaxy Watch Active at Amazon.in from June 27th.
