The Samsung Galaxy Watch, which went official last month has finally launched in India. It runs on Tizen based Wearable Platform 4.0.
The smartwatch comes 5AT and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It also complies with MIL STD 810G for added durability. The Galaxy Watch comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes.
The 42mm Galaxy Watch model measures 41.9 x 45.7 x 12.7 mm and weighs 49 grams without strap. It has 270 mAh Li-Ion battery with wireless charging support. It promises 45+ hours of typical usage or up to 120 hours on low usage.
The Galaxy Watch 46 mm variant has dimensions of 44.6 x 49 x 13 mm and weighs 63 grams. It has larger 472 mAh battery with Wireless charging and offers up to 4 days of battery life.
Depending on the model, the smartwatch comes with 1.2-inch / 1.3-inch circular Super AMOLED display (always-on) and offers 360 x 360 pixels resolution. It has Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection as well.
The Galaxy Watch features in Heart rate sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient Light sensor and Barometer. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4/2, A-GPS/GLONASS and NFC.
Apart from these features, it has stress management tracker which can detect heavy stress. There is an advanced sleep tracker which monitors sleep, including REM cycles. The smartwatch can also track 39 workouts and 21 new indoor exercise.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 42mm price is Rs. 24,990 and comes in Midnight Black and Rose Gold colors. The Galaxy Watch 46mm variant costs Rs. 2990 and comes in Silver with Matt Black Bezels..
