Samsung has officially unveiled its latest smartwatch called Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro. These were announced at Unpacked Event along side Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 smartphones.

The Galaxy Watch5comes in 40mm (Graphite, Pink, Silver, Gold) and 44mm versions (Graphite, Sapphire, Silver). These offer Armor Aluminum case with sports band.
The 40mm Galaxy Watch5 measures 39.3 x 40.4 x 9.8 mm and weighs 287.7 grams. It has 1.2-inch (30.4mm) Sapphire Crystal Super AMOLED Full Color Always on display offering 396 x 396 pixels resolution. It has a 284mAh typical battery capacity.
The 44mm Samsung Galaxy Watch5 has dimensions of 43.3 x 44.4 x 9.8 mm and weighs 33.5 grams. It has a larger 1.4-inch (34.6mm) Sapphire Crystal Super AMOLED Always On color display offering 450 x 450 pixels resolution. The model includes a 410mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro comes in measurements of 45.4 x 45.4 x 10.5 mm and has weight of 46.5 grams. It has Titanium casing with D-Buckle Sport band and is offered in Black Titanium and Gray Titanium colors. It comes with 1.4-inch Sapphire Crystal Super AMOLED Full Color always on display with 450 x 450 pixels resolution. It includes a larger 590mAh battery.
Both Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro support WPC-based wireless charging for faster chargings. These run on Wear OS 3.5 powered by Samsung and sports One UI Watch 4.5 on top. Both wearable houses 1.18GHz Exynos W920 dual-core processor paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage.
The Galaxy Watch5 series offer 5ATM and IP68 water resistant rating. All the models comply with MIL-STD-810H grade durability. These are compatible with devices running on Android 8.0 or higher (with more than 1.5GB RAM).
Just like Galaxy Watch4 series, the Watch5 series includes Samsung BioActive sensor which is a single chip to track optical heart rate, electric heart signal and bioelectrical impedance analysis. Other sensors include Temperature, Accelerometer, Barometer, Geomagnetic, Gyro and Light sensors.
For connectivity, these support LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo and NFC.
