South Korean smartphone giant Samsung has officially unveiled its latest flip smartphone called Galaxy Z Flip4. It was introduced at company’s unpacked event and is successor to Galaxy Z Flip3.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 specs and features
For starters, this flip phone comes with IPX8 water resistant rating. It has dimensions of 84.9 x 71.9 x 17.1 mm when folded and measures up to 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when you unfold Galaxy Z Flip4. The cell phone has weight of about 187 grams.
It offers dual SIM connectivity which includes one eSIM slot and a Nano slot. It has armor aluminum frame with slimmer hinge and straight edges. It has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on Cover Screen and rear glass.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 specs include 6 .7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display that offers 2640 x 1080 pixels resolution, 21.9:9 aspect ratio, 1Hz – 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 425ppi pixel density. It has 1.9-inch Super AMOLED cover display at back with 512 x 260 pixels resolution.
Under the hood is octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 mobile platform with Adreno Next-Gen GPU. It has 8GB RAM and comes in 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage options. The smartphone comes pre-installed with Android 12 based OneUI 4.1.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 feature a 10MP front camera with F/2.4 Aperture. At the back side are dual cameras consisting of 12MP (main, Wide-angle, F/1.8 Aperture, 1.8um pixel size, OIS) and 12MP (123° ultra-wide, F/2.2 Aperture, 1.12um pixel size) lenses. These can record up to 4K at 60fps.
Notably, Samsung has partnered with Meta for optimized FlexCam, allowing better selfies right from cover screen. For audio, there are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Type-C audio.
The Z Flip4 houses a 3700mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging, 15W Qi wireless charging and 4.5 reverse wireless charging. For connectivity, it has 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USb Type-C, GPS and NFC.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 price and availability
The 128GB version is priced at $999.99 while the 256GB version goes for $1099.98. The top-end 512GB version costs $1179.99. The Galaxy Z Flip4 comes in Blue, Graphite, Pink Gold and Bora Purple colors. The Bespoke Edition has Frost / Back (Yellow, White, Red, Navi, Khakhi), Frame (Silver, Black, Gold) options (depending on market).
The Galaxy Z Flip4 is up for order and will go on sale in select countries from August 26th.
