Samsung has officially announced its latest foldable smartphone called Galaxy Z Fold4. It was introduced at Unpacked Event along side Galaxy Z Flip4. The foldable phone is successor to last years Galaxy Z Fold3.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 specs and features
The handset comes with dual Nano SIM slots and supports one e-SIM. When folded, it measures 155.1 x 67.1 x 15.8 mm. Unfold dimensions are 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3 mm. Total weight is about 254 grams.
The Galaxy Z Fold4 feature a 7.6-inch Internal Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display that offers 2176 x 1812 pixels resolution, 21.6:18 aspect ratio, 1Hz-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 374ppi pixel density and HDR10+ support.
It has a 6.2-inch outer Dynamic AMOLED 2X Cover display that gives 2316 x 904 pixels resolution, 23.1:9 aspect ratio, 48Hz-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 387ppi pixel density. It has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 specs include octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 Mobile Platform with Adreno next-gen GPU. It has 12GB RAM and has 256GB/51GB/1TB storage options. The smartphone comes with IPX8 water resistant rating and sports a side mounted fingerprint sensor.
For optics, a 10MP camera is placed at from with F/2.2 Aperture and 1.22um pixel size. There is a 4MP under-display camera as well with F/1.8 Aperture, 2.0um pixel size and 80-degree FOV. At the back side is a combination of 50MP (main, F/1.8 Aperture, Dual Pixel AF, OIS), 12MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2 Aperture, 1.12um pixel size) and 10MP (telephoto, F/2.4 Aperture, 1.0um pixel size, PDAF, OIS, 3x optical / 30x space zoom) cameras.
The mobile packs a 4400mAh battery and supports 25W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity options include 5G / 4G, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2 LE, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS and NFC.
The smartphone runs on Android 12L with One UI 4.1.1 out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 price and availability
The 256G model is priced at $1799.99 while the 512GB variant costs $2009.98. The 1TB version costs $2249.98. It comes in Gray Green, Beige and Phantom Black colors.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is up for order and will go on sale in select countries from August 26th.
