Samsung Gear Fit 2 with dual-core CPU, heart rate sensor announced

Samsung has announced its latest fitness tracker called the Gear Fit 2. It has stylish slim and classically chick design and comes with variety of watch faces to choose from.
It has 1.5-Inch curved Super AMOLED display that gives 216 x 432 pixels resolution. It shows notifications and allows wearer to reply text messages, emails etc from wristband itself.
The smart GPS band is IP68 certified and  be submerged in to water at 1.5 meter depth for 30 minutes. It runs on Tizen OS and is compatible with phones running on Android 4.4 or later and has at-least 1.5GB RAM.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 features Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, GPS, Heart Rate sensor and Barometer. The combination of GPS and Heart Rate sensor allows users to measure distance, speed, route, calories burnt and heart rate. It allows users to check fitness performances via its S Health application. It can track up to 15 different activities including Exercise bike, Step machine, Treadmill, Pilates, Yoga, Lunges, Crunches and Squats etc.

It also comes with standalone music player that can play motivational tracks over Bluetooth V4.2. The smart fitness tracker is equipped with 1GHz Dual Core processor coupled with 512MB RAM and sports 4GB internal storage space as well. It also has 200 mAh battery that powers the wristband.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is priced at $ 179 and comes in large and small sizes. It will start rolling out from June 10, 2016 and comes in various colours like Black, Blue and Pink.
