Samsung has officially unveiled its latest Galaxy Tab S8 Series tablets at its Galaxy Unpacked event. The new tablet range includes vanilla Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and first ever Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series specifications
All the tablets come with Wi-Fi only and 5G variants. These run on Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top. The have S Pen (with Bluetooth) for added accessibility. These include quad-stereo speaker setup with sound by AKG. They support Dolby Atmos and houses 3 microphones.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 measures 253.8 x 165.3 x 6.3 mm and weighs 503 grams (Wi-Fi) / 507 grams (5G). It comes with a side mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The Galaxy Tab S8 feature a 11-inch LTPS display that offers 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution, 276ppi pixel density, 120Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 500nits brightness. It includes an 8000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ has dimensions of 285 x 185 x 5.7 mm and has weight of 567 grams (Wi-Fi) / 572 grams (5G). It has a larger 10090mAh battery capacity and brings support for 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Plus boasts a 12.7-inch Super AMOLED display that delivers 2800 x 1752 pixels WQXGA+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 266ppi pixel density and up to 420nits brightness. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Premium mode dubbed as Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the biggest of the lot, housing a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2960 x 1848 pixels WQXGA+ resolution. It offers 120Hz refresh rate, up to 420nits brightness and 240ppi pixel density.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes in measurements of 326.4 x 208.6 x 5.5 mm and has weight of 567 grams (Wi-Fi) / 572 grams (5G). It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and houses a huge 11200mAh battery. The tablet supports 45W fast charging as well.
All the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series models come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform (4nm) with Adreno 730 (next-gen) GPU. Depending on model, these come with 8GB RAM with 128GB/256GB storage. The Tab S8 Ultra has a 16GB RAM with 512GB storage model as well.
The come with dual rear cameras which include 13MP (main, F/2.0) and 6MP (Ultra-wide, F/2.2) cameras. At the front side is a 12MP selfie camera with F/2.4 Aperture. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra model houses an additional 12MP ultra-wide front camera with F/2.2 Aperture.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA (optional) / 4G LTE (optional), Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Direct, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C 3.2 and GPS/GLONASS/beidou/Galileo.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 / S8+ come in Graphite, Silver and Pink Gold colors. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a single Graphite color option. All of these are up for pre-order and will start rolling out from February 25th. It will initially land in markets of U.S., U.K, Europe and Korea.
