Samsung has been working on a premium flip phone for quite some time. Now, Korean phone maker has officially launched Samsung W2017 clamshell phone in China. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
It measures 127.8 x 61.4 x 15.8 mm and weighs about 208 grams. The smartphone packs in 4.2-Inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch as well. To make things clear, it has an internal and external display
The Samsung W2017 Specs include quad-core (2.15GHz x 2 + 1.6GHz x 2) Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage space of which about 52.2GB is user available. It allows further expansion up to 256GB as well.
The phone packs in Hybrid Dual SIM slots and supports 4G LTE with VoLTE. It has fingerprint reader as well for added security. The handset is powered by 2300 mAh battery that is said to give about 208 hours of standby (4G TDD LTE + 2G SM and reminder message screen off). Fast charging is also supported
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, ANT+ etc. The mobile also comes bundled with Acceleration sensor, Pressure, Gyro, Geomagnetic, Hall , Heart Rate, Proximity and Light Sensors.
The Samsung W2017 comes in Gold and Black colors and will be released in China soon. Official pricing details were not revealed.
