Western Digital has introduced SanDisk Extreme 256GB MicroSD with Class 1 (A1) Specifications.
It offers read speed of up to 100 MB/s for 256GB storage and up to 90MB/s for 128GB, 64GB and 32GB. Its write speed is up to 90MB/s for 256GB, 60MB/s for 128GB and up to 40MB/s for 64GB/32GB cards.
Western digital has been working closely with leading mobile technology industry leaders to deliver a battery consumer app experience with the A1 standard.
The A1 Specs allows the new card to manage random read input-output access per second (IPS) of 1500 and wirte iOPS of 500. Statistically speaking, 256GB microSD card allows up to 24 hours of 1080p videos.
The SanDisk Extreme 256GB MicroSD is also waterproof, temperature-proof, Shockproof and X-ray proof. It also includes SanDisk Memory Zone App that helps users backup / view / access phone files.
The 256GB SanDisk Extreme microSD card carries MSRP of $199.99. It will be available starting late March 2017.
