Sharp has officially announced its latest Android One smartphone in Partnership with Google called Sharp S2. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box and will definitely receive Android updates up to 24 months and security updates up to 3 years.
The Sharp S2 specs include 5-inch IGZO multi-touch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by octa-core (1.2GHz A53 x 4 + 1.5GHz A53 x 4) 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 MSm8937 processor with Adreno 505 GPU.
The handset measures 144 x 71 x 8.5 mm and weighs about 143 grams. It is IPX5 / IPX8 rated for water resistance and IP6X rated for dust. It is powered by 2700 mAh battery.
The cell phone features in 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card. It has 5MP front camera for selfies and 13.1MP rear Auto Focus camera with LED Flash.
The Sharp S3 price is set at 32,400 Yen (US$ 298 / Rs. 19,000 approx.) and comes in White, Black, Blue and Pink colors. You can get it at SoftBank with 12-months contract or even without it.
