Sharp unveils PN-M401 and PN-M501 professional LCD monitors

Sharp Electronics Corporation, U.S. subsidiary of Japan’s Sharp Corporation has unveiled new professional LCD monitors. The PN-M401 comes with 40-inch (39.5″ diagonal) screen while the PN-M501 sports 50-Inch (49.5″ diagonal) display.
These Smart digital signage solutions are brighter, more durable and features in advanced System-on-Chip for 24/7 usage. Both the models offer mounting flexibility (landscape or portrait) which is a necessity for professional displays. It also tilt up to 90-degrees at the front or back. They can be suspended with wires from four corners.
The Sharp PN-M series feature in 1.8GHz (max) ARM-Cortex-A17 quad-core processor and is paired with 2GB RAM. It has 8GB of storage space and is powered by Android OS (for 3rd party apps).
If you compare PN-M401 or PN-M501 with its previous PN-B Series, these are 50% brighter and allows 24/7 usage rather than 16/7. They utilize SHARP Open Architecture platform for digital signage, offering easy way to download / store / play content.
The platform is supported by seventeen different third-party digital signage and content management software (CMS) companies. They also offer an expansion slot (through an HDBaseT receiver board) which is compatible with Intel Mini Open Pluggable Specification (Mini OPS).
The Sharp PN-M401 is already up for sale while the PN-M501 is expected to ship in early June.
