Sharp X1 Android One smartphone introduced in Japan

Google has been rather slow with its Android One initiative, achieving lesser than expected success. This has not stopped Google from unveiling its latest Android One smartphone in Japan called Sharp X1.
The mobile has dimensions of 152 x 74 x 8.9 mm and weighs about 169 grams. It is IPX5 / IP6X / IPX8 rated for water and dust resistance. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and comes with FIngerprint sensor on the front for added security. It is equipped with FeliCa as well.
The Sharp X1 specs include 5.3-inch IGZO liquid crystal display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch as well. It is powered by an octa-core (1.4GHz x 4 + 1.1GHz x 4) Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 MSM8940 processor with Adreno 505 GPU.
Sharp X1 Android One phone image 1It has 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD Card. This Android One phone features in 8MP CMOS backside illuminated front camera. On the back side is a 16.4MP primary shooter with LED Flash, Auto Focus capabilities.
The Sharp X1 Features in a 3900 mAh battery that fully charges up in 185 minutes. It is said to offer up to 14 hours of continuous viewing time. Connectivity wise, it supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS, NFC etc.

The Sharp X1 comes in White, Dark Purple and Mint Green color options. It is available at Japanese carrier Y! Mobile.
