Shoto, an Android and iOS based photo discovery application has introduced a new feature called the “Album Swap”. It makes us of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning to intelligently match and swap photos and videos with your friends.
Shoto app takes a new approach when it comes to photo sharing. It arranges photos into meaningful albums and detects similar videos or photos of the same album amongst friends.Users can easily share photos with a single tap on Swap button and selecting a person to share with.
It makes use of different data sources like Facebook, Phone Book, Face Detection and other photo meta data to identify relevant photos. It uses Artificial Intelligence and passive data to identify similar photos from same trip / album amongst friends.
The Application can also inform its users as to which friends have relevant video or photos even when they are not currently using the app. Each shared pictures are grouped up to create an album.
Shoto Application was launched back in September last year. It currently boasts about 200 million photos on its networks from over 160 countries.
