Sony has been using LCD display’s for a while now. This is going to change in 2018 – 2019 flagship phones.
According to reports, Sony is expected to use OLED Displays for its flagship Xperia phones. Company has already introduced OLED Televisions under its A1 Series.
OLED displays have their own share of advantages. It shows pure Blacks and high level on contrast. Sony is currently waiting for LG and JDI to boost up their production in order to buy OLED screens from these companies.
Even Apple is also rumored to use OLED Screens for its future smartphones. Many Samsung phones, including its Galaxy S and Note series are using this display.
