Sony RX0 (DSC-RX0) waterproof camera announced

At IFA 2017 Berlin even, Sony has just announced its latest RX0 camera. It offers entirely new imaging possibilities for photography enthusiasts and professionals.
The RX0 (Model name: DSC-RX0), combined with leading image quality of Sony RX Series offers even advanced photo and video capabilities. The camera measures 2.38 x 1.63 x 1.19 (W x D x H) and weighs about 3.9 oz.
It has an ultra-compact body and is designed to facilitate creative expression beyond current limitations. It can shoot sill images, filming videos and can also be part of multi-camera setup.
Photographers can link multiple RX0’s to produce unique content like bullet-time, time-slice etc. They can trigger up to fifteen RX0 models using FA-WRC1M, Sony’s wireless radio commander.
There is a Sony PlayMemories mobile application that allows one to control five RX0 models to be connected, paired and controlled wirelessly.
The Sony RX0 (DSC-RX0) features a 1.0-type stacked 15.3MP Exmor RS Cmost image sensor with BIONZ X Processor and ZEISS Tessar T 24mm F4 wide-angle fixed lens. It has Anti-Distortion Shutter that shoots as fast as 1/32000 second, boasting maximum burst shooting capability at up to 16fps.
Sony RX0 compact camera 2Moreover, this compact Sony camera is also waterproof. It can sustain at depths of up to 10 meters and can be used at up to 100 meter depth using new MPK-HSR1 housing. Additionally, the camera is also shock proof (sustain drops from up to 2 meter), crushproof (up to 200Kg) and can with stand most harsh conditions.
The Sony RX0 can capture slow motion videos at up to 960fps and record 4K as well. It has MF assist and Peaking to adjust focus according to photographer’s preference. The camera also offers picture profile options and S-Log2, Time Code / User bit features.
The new Sony RX0 camera price is set at US$ 700 / CA$ 900 and will start shipping in october 2017.
