Sony Xperia Hello Smart Communication Robot unveiled in Japan

Sony has unveiled its new smart communication robot in Japan called Xperia Hello. It’s original concept was first introduced by Sony back at MWC 2016 under the name “Xperia Agent”.
The Sony Xperia Hello communication robot has its very own personality. It can not only recognize each member of the family but also assist with day to day tasks simply by talking to it.
Aesthetically speaking, it might just look like a Speaker but it is much more. It can assess its surroundings, speak and move according to the situations. And the best part is that all of it is done without the requirement of human input.
It has lights (you can say Eyes) at the top of its body which can express feelings like happiness, loneliness, sadness, excitement etc. The Sony Xperia Hello can rotate up to 340-degree and greets everyone who speaks to it.
Sony Xperia Hello image -02This Smart communication robot from Sony is equipped with four motion sensors and seven microphones, which are located at its lower body. It can detect some approaching within three-meter radius.
Additionally, it has an upper body camera which is mainly used to identify a family member (need to register them first). There is a 4.6-inch liquid crystal touch screen display that can be used to convey information, messages, news, display conversations etc.
The Features of Xperia Hello does not end here. It can make Skype calls, Video messages, send/receive messages via LINE etc. An messages pertaining to a particular family member is conveyed when the robot detects them.
It can also remember important days like birthdays, anniversaries or special events and notify the entire house hold as well. Moreover, you can even ask Xperia Hello to dance.
The Sony Xperia Hello price is set at ¥150,000 ($1320 / Rs. 85,700 approx) and will launch in Japan on November 16th.
