Sony Mobile Communications has announced that it has started rolling out its latest Xperia X series lineup in Canada. It will be available from 23 carriers including Bell, Rogers, Virgin Mobile Canada, WIND Mobile, and Videotron. The models include Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA Ultra.
Sony Xperia X
The phone measures 142.7 x 69.4 x 7.9 mm, weighs 153 grams and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. It has 5-Inch 1080p IPS LCD display with curved glass edges and metal back for comfortable grip. It is powered by (1.8GHz CortexA72 x 2 + 1,4GHz CortexA53 x 4) Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 MSM8956 processor with Adreno 510 GPU.
It has 3GB RAM, 32GB / 64GB storage options and MicroSD card for further expansion up to 256GB. The mobile is equipped with 13MP selfie camera with F/2.0 Aperture, 1/3-Inch Sensor, 22mm lens and 1080p video recording. On the back is 23MP primary camera with LED Flash, F/2.0 Aperture, 1/2.3-Inch Sensor, 24mm lens, PDAF, HDR Panorama, and 1080p video recording at 30/60 fps.
The Sony Xperia X specs include 2620 mAh Li-Ion removable battery and makes use of Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology. It is equipped with PS4 remote play access as well. The phone fits in to any lifestyle, sporting a 5-ainch borderless display with slim curved design. The screen has 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution, 294ppi pixel density, 71.8% screen-to-body ratio and houses scratch resistant glass as well.
The mobile is powered by 2GHz Cortex-A53 Octa Core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and supports microSD cards up to 256GB. The phone has dimensions of 143.6 x 66.8 x 7.9 mm and weighs 137.4 grams. It houses 2300 mAh Li-Ion battery that is said to give 10 hours 3G talk time and 55 hours music play back.
The specs of Sony Xperia XA also include 8MP selife camera equipped with 1/4-Inch Sensor, Auto Focus, HDR and 1080p video recording. On the back is 13MP primary snapper with LED Flash, 1/3-inch Sensor, PDAF, HDR, Panorama and 1080p video recording at 30 Fps. The phone has 2.5D round glass edges, seamless brushed metal back and has IP68 water / dust resistant design. It has dimensions of 143.7 x 70.4 x 8.7 mm and weighs 164.4 grams.
Under the hood is (2.15GHz x 2 + 1.6GHz x 2) quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, further expandable up to 256GB.

It has measurements of 164 x79 x 8.4 mm, weighs 202 grams and houses 2700 mAh Li-Ion battery that gives up to 12 hours 3G talk time and 708 hours standby.
The mobile phone is powered by 2GHz Octa Core Cortex-A53 MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. It has 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage ROM and MicroSD card support up to 256GB.
The Xperia XA Ultra features 21.5MP primary snapper on the back with 1/2.4-Inch Sensor, PDAF, Touch Focus, HDR, Panorama and 1080p video recording. On the front is 16MP selfie camera with 1/2.6-Inch Sensor, Auto Focus, OIS, LED Flash and supports 1080p as well.

Sony Xperia X Series availability in Canada
- Sony Xperia X comes in Graphite Black colour option and will be available on June 29 at Videotron and July 14 on WIND Mobile.
- Sony Xperia XA comes in Graphite Black and White Colours. It will go on sale at Bell on June 23 and July 14 at WIND Mobile
- Sony Xperia X Performance will be available at Bell starting June 23 and slowly roll out at June 23 at Rogers. It will available in-stores from June 14, 2016 and come in Graphite Black and White colours.
- Sony Xperia XA Ulra will be exclusive for WIND Mobile and comes in Graphite Black colour options. It is slated to launch on July 14
