Sony is working on a new smartphone under its X Series line-up. Allegedly, this upcoming smartphone will be called the Xperia XR. It will be 6th mobile from the company in the year 2016 and is assumed to be Xperia F8331.
The renders of the smartphone has been leaked by @OnLeaks. According to the leakster, the device measures 146.4 x 71.9 x 8.1 mm. Not much was revealed however, the mobile should have about 5.1-Inch 1080p deisply considering the dimensions. It is also expected to have Snapdragon 820 SoC with 3GB RAM inside.
The phone has Dual LED flash and comes with USB type C port. Its placement of power button, volume rockers are somewhat the same as Xperia X Performance. Aesthetically in terms of design, the alleged Xperia XR features sharper corners with flatter compartmented back. It is also said to support 4K recording (both front / back camera).
Sony will host a press event on September 1, 2016 at IFA 2016 in Berlin. The company could launch Xperia XR on that day.
