Sony Xperia XZ1 with Android 8.0 Oreo, SD835 announced

Sony has just announced its latest smartphone called Xperia XZ1. Company has introduced it at ongoing IFA 2017 event in Berlin.
The handset comes in single / dual SIM options. It is IP65 / IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. It is also first Sony smartphone to run on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. It has metal body and gives a premium feel. It has fingerprint sensor at the sides. The cell phone measures 147 x 73.4 x 7.4 mm and weighs about 155 grams.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 specs include 5.2-Inch TRILUMINOS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has X-Reality engine, 138% sRGB coverage and supports multi-touch.
The cell phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB on-board storage ROM and allows further expansion up to 256GB.
Sony Xperia XZ1 officially launched image 1The Xperia XZ1 features an 13MP selfie shooter with Exmor R Sesnor, 1/3.06-inch Sensor size, 22mm super wide-angle lens with 120-degree FOV, F/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording support.
On the back side is 19MP primary shooter with Exmor RS Sensor, 1/2.3-Inch Sensor size, F/2.0 Aperture lens, 5-axis stabilization, Predictive capture, 4K video recording and allows slow-motion recording at 960fps. It also includes Anti-distortion shutter and Triple image sensing technology and dedicated camera shutter button as well.
The hardware is backed by 2700 mAh battery and supports Qnovo Adaptive Charging as well. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0, USB 3.1 Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS etc. The mobile also includes DSEE HX, LDAC and Digital Noise Cancelling microphones.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 comes in Black, Warm Silver, Venus Pink and Moonlight Blue colors. It will start rolling out globally in September 2017.
