TCL has showcased its new 5G smartphone in Italy called TCL 40R 5G. It is available in Starlight Black and Stardust Purple colors and is priced at EUR240.
TCL 40R 5G specs and features
As you can make out from the name itself, this a 5G smartphone offering from TCL. It has dual Nano SIM slots, measures 164.46 x 75.4 x 8.99 mm and weighs 192 grams.
The TCL 40R 5G feature a 6.6-inch V-notch display that offers 1612 x 720 pixels resolution, almost 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 269ppi pixel density, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 70% NTSC color gamut, 400nits brightness and 89% screen-to-body ratio.
This particular mobile is powered by Android 12 and TCL UI 4.0 on top. It has octa-core (2.2GHz A76 x 2 + 2GHz A55 x 6) MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and is offered in 64GB (44GB user available) / 128GB (104GB user available) options. It does allow further expansion up to 1TB using MicroSD card.
The TCL 40R 5G specs include a 5000mAh (typ) battery capacity and supports 15W PD Fast charging (10W charger included). It can go from 0 to 100% in 3 hours. There is support for fingerprint sensor and face unlocking.
For optics, it has an 8MP front fixed focus camera with 1/4-inch sensor, F/2.0 Aperture, 80.6-degree FOV, 4P lens, 1.12um pixel size and 1080p video recording support. At the back side are triple cameras with LED Flash. These include 50MP (main, 1/2.76-inch Sensor, F/1.8, 74.2° FOV, 5P Lens, 0.6um pixels, PDAF) + 2MP (depth, 1/5-inch sensor, F/2.4, 85° FOV, 3P Lens) + 2MP (macro, 1/5-inch sensor, F/2.4, 88.8° FOV, 1.75um pixels, 3P lens) cameras.
