TCL 550 with 4G VoLTE, 5.5-Inch 1080p display launched

TCL, widely known as Alcatel brand, has launched its latest budget smartphone in China called TCL 550. It is also the same company known for manufacturing BlackBerry’s DTEK50 and DTEK60 smartphones.
The phone has dimensions of 152.6 x 76.8 x 7.99 mm and weighs 150 grams. It has fingerprint sensor embedded on phone’s physical home button. It also supports WeChat and AliPay payments.
The TCL 550 Specs include 5.5-Inch IPS multi-touch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood is 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860 GPU. The chipset is backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB storage ROM. It also allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
This smartphone is equipped with 13MP snapper on the back with F/2.0 Aperture, PDAF (focus in 0.2 seconds) and 1080p video recording capabilities. On the front side is 5MP camera unit with F/2.4 Aperture.
The TCL 550 Features in a 2960 mAh battery that promises at least a day’s worth of usage. It has AKM audio chip inside and delivers Hi-Fi sound at 3.6W output.
The handset supports 4G LTE with VoLTE (voice over LTE) via its Dual SIM slots (micro + nano), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The TCL 550 is priced at 899 Yuan which converts to $133 approximately.
