TECNO took to MWC 2023 where it has unveiled its first ever foldable smartphone called PHANTOM V Fold 5G. It comes in White and Black colors.
Notably, the White color is made from renewable organic silicone leather while the black color model uses skin friendly classic leather.

When folded, the device measures 159.4 x 72.0 x 14.5 ~ 14.2 mm. When you unfold it, the dimensions goes to 159.4 x 140.4 x 6.8 mm. The smartphone comes with TECNO’s self developed reverse snap structure and uses aerospace-grade drop-shaped hinge with fixed-axis and rotate and slide tech.
The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold 5G is powered by Android 13 based HiOS 13 Fold. The operating system offers several foldable screen optimizations like Split screen, parallel windows and more. It has a side mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
The smartphone feature in a 7.65-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display that offers 2296 x 2000 pixels 2K+ resolution, 8:7 aspect ratio, 10Hz-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 90% screen-to-body ratio. It has 6.42-inch outer LTPO AMOLED screen as well that delivers 2550 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution and 10Hz-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It has 21:9 aspect ratio and 91% screen-to-body ratio.
The TECNO PHANTOM V Fold specs include octa-core (up to 3.2GHz) MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor with Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. It has 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB / 512GB UFS 3.1 storage space. It includes a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. It is said to charge up to 40% in just 15 minutes.
The PHANTOM V Fold specs include 32MP outer and 16MP inner front cameras for selfies or video calling. At the back side includes 50MP (main, 1/1.3-inch sensor, F/1.8) + 13MP (120-degree ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 50MP (2x Portrait telephoto) lenses along with LED Flash.l
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE (Nano Slots), Wi-Fi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.3, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS and Type-C audio. Notably, it has stereo speakers as well.
