Ulefone Armor rugged smartphone with 4G LTE announced for $160

Ulefone has announced its first ever rugged smartphone called Armor. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, houses Dual Micro SIM slots (with Dual Standby) and supports 4G LTE.
The phone sports a polycarbonate-TPU double layer body sturdy enough to survive most phone drops. It can even sustain in temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 80℃. Moreover, the device has IP68 rating, making it dust and water proof.
The smartphone is also equipped with physical keys, including a special SOS key. Holding this key for 5 seconds automatically sends GPS information to preset contact and also makes a quick call.
ulefone-armor-image-02The Ulefone Armor specs include 4.7-Inch LTPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution at 313ppi pixel density. It also comes with Corning Gorilla glass 3 for added scratch resistance.
Under the hood is 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor (64-bit) coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD Card.
The cellphone features in a 13MP primary camera on the back with LED Flash, Auto Focus, EIS, 9 Filters and records 1080p videos as well. On the front side is 5MP secondary camera as well for selfies and video calling. There is a dedicated physical camera key as well.
The Ulefone Armor features in 3500mAh Li-Ion Polymer battery. It offers up to 1 day of heavy usage, about 2 days of normal use, 6 hours of constant talk time and 300 hours of standby The phone measures 147.9 x 75.8 x 12. 5mm and weighs about 195 grams.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, NFC etc.
The Ulefone Armor is priced at US$ 159.99 for those who order in pre-sales. Later on, the price will be increased to US$ 199.99. It comes in Orange and Black color options.
