VIVO S7 with Snapdragon 765G, dual selfie cameras unveiled

VIVO expands its S Series lineup with the launch of a new smartphone in China called VIVO S7. It has Dual Nano SIM slots and supports 5G (SA/NSA) and Dual 4G VoLTE.

The smartphone measures 158.82 x 74.2 x 7.39 mm and weighs 184 grams. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and is powered by Android 10 based Funtouch OS 10.5.

The VIVO S7 features in 6.44-inch AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen also delivers 408ppi pixel density, 3000000:1 contrast ratio and boasts 91.2% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood is octa-core Snapdragon 765G mobile platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in options of 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.1 storage space. The mobile houses 4000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging.

The VIVO S7 specs also include dual front cameras which includes 44MP (main, Samsung GH1 sensor, F/2.0) and 8MP (105-degree Ultra-wide angle, F/2.28) dual shooters. It can also record 4K videos at 60fps.

At the back side is a triple camera setup which makes up of 64MP (main, F/1.89, 0.8um) + 8MP (119-degree ultra-wide angle, F/2.2) + 2MP (mono, F/2.4) snappers.

In terms of connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.1, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC. The mobile also comes with Super Linear speakers and supports USB Type-C audio only.

The Vivo S7 8GB/128GB variant price is 2798 Yuan (US$ 400 / Rs. 30,150 approx.) while its 8GB/256GB model costs 3098 Yuan (US$ 443 / Rs. 33,380 approx.). It comes in Moonlight White, Jazz Black and Gradient Blue colors. It is already up for order in China and will be available from August 8th.
