VIVO has silently unveiled a new Y Series smartphone in Kenya called VIVO Y01.
The cell phone comes in Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue color options. Pricing details were left out.

It is an entry level device with measurements of 163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28 mm and has weight of 178 grams. The phone sports a plastic build and is offered with dual SIM support.
The VIVO Y01 specs include 6.51-inch IPS LCD display giving 1600 x 720 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio and sports Eye Protection mode for protection against blue light emission.
Powering inside is an on octa-core MediaTek P35 processor which is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage space. It has MicroSD card support for further expansion.
The VIVO Y01 runs on Android 11 Go Edition based Funtouch OS 11.1. It comes with 5MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture lens. At the back side is an 8MP auto focus camera with F/2.0 Aperture and LED Flash.
The smartphone comes with 5000mAh (typical) battery capacity and supports 10W fast charging. It comes with a fingerprint sensor for biometrics and includes Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity, e-compass and gyroscope.
