VIVO Y21 launches India with Helio P35 SoC

VIVO has introduced a new Y Series smartphone in India called VIVO Y21. It comes with dual Nano SIM slots and supports dual 4G VoLTE.

The mobile is powered by FunTouch OS 11.1 which is based on Android 11. It has fingerprint sensor on side which unlocks smartphone in just 0.22 seconds. The device measurements of 164 x 76 x 8.0 mm and houses a 5000mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging.

The VIVO Y21 specs include 6.51-inch Halo FullView display offering 1600 x 720 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

The Y21 comes in two variants – one with 4GB RAM (+1GB extendable RAM tech) and 64GB storage and other with 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage space. It also includes MicroSD card slot for further expansion up to 1TB.

For optics, it has 8MP front facing camera for selfies and video calling. At the back side are dual cameras consisting of 13MP main and 2MP macro lenses. There is an LED flash as well.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.0, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.

The VIVO Y21 4GB/64GB model is priced in India at Rs. 13,990 ($188 approx.) while its 4GB/128GB variant costs Rs. 15,490 ($208 approx.). It comes in Midnight Blue and Diamond Glow colors. It will sell online at Amazon.in, Flipkart, Vivo’s e-store and other partner retail stores.
