VIVO Y53s 5G (V2111A) silently launches in China

VIVO has introduced a new mid range 5G smartphone in China called Y53s 5G (V2111A). It is latest handset under its popular Y Series lineup.

The VIVO Y53s 5G measures 163.95 x 75.3 x 8.5 mm and weighs 189 grams. It offers dual SIM connectivity with 5G and Dual 4G VoLTE support.

The device sports a side mounted fingerprint sensor and supports face recognition. It is powered by Android 11 based Origin OS 1.0 out of the box.

The Vivo Y53s specs include 6.58-inch multi-touch LCD display offering FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Pumping inside is octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G mobile platform with Adreo 619 GPU.

The smartphone houses 8GB RAM and uses memory fusion tech to make RAM equivalent to 11GB. The Y53s 5G has two variants housing 128GB and 256GB built-in storage space. At the front side inside a tiny notch is an 8MP selfie camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side are 64MP (main, F/1.79) and macro (4cm focus, F?2.4) lenses.

The VIVO Y53s 5G feature a 5000mAh battery capacity and supports 18W fast charging. VIVO claims that on a full charge, one can get approximately 9 hours of gaming or 13 hours of video playback or about 140 hours of music or 20 days of standby.

For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack.

The VIVO Y53s 5G 8GB/128GB variant is priced at 1799 Yuan ($281 / €230 / Rs. 20,515 approx.) while Y53s 5G 8GB/256GB model costs 1999 Yuan ($312 / €256 / Rs. 22,800 approx.). Mobile has three color options and is up for pre-order in China. Its first sale is slated for June 11th.
