Vivo’s Taiwanese wing has unveiled a new Y Series 5G smartphone called Vivo Y55 5G. It comes in Galaxy Blue and Star Black colors.

The device comes in measurements of 164 x 75.84 x 8.25 mm and scales about 187 grams. Its dual Nano SIM slots offer 5G and Dual 4G VoLTE capabilities.
The VIVO Y55 5G feature a 6.58-inch LCD display with multi-touch support. It has 2408 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20:9 aspect ratio, 96% NTSC color gamut and 90.6% screen-to-body ratio.
Processing power derives from octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The SoC pairs with 4GB RAM (+1GB Extended RAM) and 128GB storage space. It has MicroSD card support up to 1TB.
Other specs of Y55 5G include 5000mAh (typical) battery with 18W flash charging. The handset runs on Funtouch OS 12 (based on Android 11) and sports a side mounted fingerprint sensor for fast and secure unlocking
As far as cameras go, the handset boasts an 8MP front camera with F/1.8 Aperture. At the back side is a combo of 50MP (main, F/1.8) + 2MP (depth, F/2.4) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4) cameras and LED Flash.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo/QZSS, FM RAdio and NFC. Its sensor lineup include Gravity, Light, Proximity, Gyro and e-Compass.
