WhatsApp, boasting about a billion monthly active users, is constantly working hard and adding several new features in its Messaging service. Now, Company has finally launched its desktop application for Windows and Mac.
The WhatsApp desktop app is compatible with Desktop PC running on Windows 8 or higher and Mac OS 10.9 or above. About 14 months back, company had launched the WhatsApp Web and now, it has its official Desktop application.

The app has native desktop notifications and is basically a mirror of the conversations and messages of your mobile devices. Moreover, it has better keyboard short cuts as well for ease of use.
There have been rumors that WhatsApp is also working on adding new features like Call Back, Voicemail, ZIP file sharing and Video calls support.
