Wileyfox Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus smartphones launched – Specs, Price

Wileyfox has launched two new smartphones in UK called Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus. Both the smartphones run on Cyanogen OS 13.1 which is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Wileyfox Swift 2

The phone has dimensions of 143.7 x 71.9 x 8.6 mm and weighs 158 grams. It has 5-Inch Full Lamination display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The screen has 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, 296ppi pixel density and supports multi-touch and Glove mode.
The Wileyfox Swift 2 specs include 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) processor with Adreno 505 GPU. Inside is 2GB RAM, 16GB storage ROM and allows further expansion up to 64GB.
The cellphone houses hybrid Dual SIM Slots (micro + nano / microSD) and supports 4G LTE. It has 2700 mAh Li-Po battery that offers 260 minutes of talk time, 180 hours of standby and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 as well.
It has Fingerprint scanner on the back for added security. It supports Android Pay, Secure element, TEE and uses NXP NQ220 technology. There is a 13MP rear camera as well with Samsung 3L8 Sensor, dual LED Flash, Phased detection Auto Focus and 1080p video recording capabilities On the front is 8MP selfie camera as well.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V4.1, USB Type-C, GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm Audio jack etc. It is also equipped with 15x11mm speaker along with Power AMP AW87319 that delivers 90 dB+ sounds.

Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus

This is a slightly premium with aviation-grade metal back with aluminum design. It has the same dimensions of 143.7 x 71.9 x 8.6 mm but is slightly lighter at 155 grams. Moreover it has the same 15x 11mm speakers.
Another common features is 5-Inch full-lamination 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 display with 720p resolution and 296ppi pixel density.  It has the same 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. Unlike the former, the Plus variant has 3GB RAM and 32GB of on-board storage ROM, expandable up to 64GB using MicroSD card.
Another thing common among both the devices is battery. It has 2700 mAh Li-Po battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It can charge battery to 25% in 15 minutes, 50% in 30 minutes and 75% in 45 Minutes. This is done using Type-C USB 2.0.
Now to the differences. The Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus specs include 16MP main camera (bumped from 13MP)on the back with Samsung 3L8 Sensor, dual LED flash, PDAF and 1080p video recording support. Its 8MP front camera again remains the same.
